Ondas acquires defense UAV maker DZYNE Technologies for $876M

The purchase caps a rapid buying spree turning a once wireless-networking firm into a vertically integrated defense prime.

• Ondas Inc. (NASDAQ: ONDS) acquired DZYNE Technologies, a UAV and air-defense systems maker owned by Highlander Partners, for $875.8 million in a cash-and-stock deal comprising $200 million cash and $675 million in Ondas shares.
• DZYNE, headquartered in Irvine, California, builds long-endurance ISR drones and precision-strike systems such as its IonStrike platform, while Ondas is a West Palm Beach-based autonomous-systems and wireless-network company pivoting hard into defense.
• More than half of the stock consideration carries a six-month lock-up, and DZYNE will operate alongside World View inside a newly created Ondas Sentinel defense division.
• The deal caps a 2026 acquisition spree spanning World View, Cyberhawk, Mistral and Gate Technologies that pushed Ondas' pro forma backlog to $757 million and let it raise full-year revenue guidance to $525-550 million.
• The purchase lands amid a defense-tech financing boom (U.S. defense startups raised $19.2 billion in H1 2026, up from $16.6 billion in 2025) even as Ondas shares fell 24% in 2026, cutting its market value to $3.9 billion after a 280% surge in 2025.
• Ondas is racing to stitch fragmented drone, counter-UAS and precision-strike suppliers into one integrated defense platform, betting that EBITDA-positive targets like DZYNE can offset the dilution and volatility of an acquisition-heavy growth strategy.
