Titan OS raises $46M in equity and debt to expand smart TV OS
November 4, 2026
Raised
$46M
By sharing ad revenue with TV makers instead of hoarding it, the startup undercuts the walled gardens of Google and Roku.
- Titan OS raised $46 million combining equity from existing backers Highland Europe and Mangrove Capital Partners with a credit facility from funds managed by BlackRock, lifting total funding to $110 million since its 2023 founding.
- The Barcelona company, founded by Jacinto Roca (previously founder of Wuaki.tv, acquired by Rakuten) with co-founders Timothy Edwards, Miquel Barba and Tobias Pfalzgraff, builds an independent smart TV OS that shares ad revenue with the manufacturers who license it.
- The round's split between new equity and the BlackRock-managed loan was not disclosed, and no valuation was given, meaning Titan took on debt rather than diluting further to fund expansion.
- Titan OS now reaches 30 million users, up from 18 million a year ago, with headcount grown to roughly 250 and revenue up 15-fold since launch.
- Philips switched its 2026 TV lineup to Titan OS, dropping Google TV, joining partners AOC, Vestel, Skyworth, Sharp and JVC as the platform's distribution footprint grows.
- As TV makers increasingly balk at ceding their home screens to Google and Roku, an independent OS that splits ad revenue offers a rare alternative, and growing device reach only compounds its advertising leverage.
- Titan OS plans to use the capital to sign more OEM partners, enter new markets, and build AI-driven content discovery and ad-targeting features.
