Netris Raises $15M Series A From a16z for AI Neocloud Networking

Its hardware-accelerated automation lets emerging cloud operators configure GPU clusters as fast as hyperscalers, without massive engineering teams.

• Netris closed a $15M Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), with a16z partner Guido Appenzeller joining the board.
• Netris builds network automation software that runs directly on switches, letting neocloud operators automate GPU cluster setup, configuration and multi-tenancy instead of relying on software-only SDN.
• The platform is vendor-agnostic across Nvidia and AMD servers, abstracting hardware configs and isolating servers at the hardware layer to support multiple customers on shared infrastructure.
• Netris already runs on more than 35 GPU clusters worldwide totaling roughly one million GPUs, with customers including Foxconn's Visionbay, Lightning AI, HPE, Tensorwave and Telus.
• Nvidia was impressed by a Netris demo two years ago and has since recommended the startup to multiple customers building AI infrastructure.
• Netris plans to use the funding to hire more engineers and salespeople, add support for more hardware vendors, and expand its automation algorithms.
• As AI data center buildouts accelerate, network configuration complexity, not just GPU supply, has become a key bottleneck delaying revenue from expensive idle hardware, making automation tooling a strategic layer for neocloud economics.
