ROSI raises $23M Series B to build PV recycling plant in Spain

Raised
$23M
The France-based recycler is betting Europe will pay a premium to stop importing silver, silicon and copper from abroad.
- ROSI raised over €20 million (~$23 million) in a Series B round, led by InnoEnergy, CMA CGM, the European Innovation Council, and Spanish family office G3T, blending equity with French and European grants.
- ROSI recycles end-of-life solar panels, using technology designed to cleanly separate module layers and recover high-purity silver, silicon, copper, aluminum, and glass.
- The funding will finance a new facility in Teruel, Spain, with capacity to process 10,000 tons of panels annually via an automated production line, building on ROSI's first plant, ROSI Alpes, in France.
- Zurich-based advisory firm Finadvice also invested alongside Swiss and Polish family offices, joining new international investors and existing shareholders in the round.
- France's solar recycling volumes hit a record 13,760 tonnes in 2025, up 40% year-over-year, as the eco-organization Soren prepares for a coming wave of end-of-life panels across Europe.
- Global VC and private equity funding in the solar sector totaled $3.5 billion across 75 deals in 2025, down 22% from $4.5 billion the prior year, per Mercom's annual report.
- Recyclers' economics depend on selling recovered silver and copper at scale, so ROSI's bet on high-purity material recovery aims to turn Europe's looming panel-waste surge into a domestic raw-materials supply chain rather than a landfill problem.
