Londian Wason's NYSE debut hits $2B valuation as shares jump 27%

The offering's thin float and scarcity premium make the pop an unreliable signal that Chinese listings are welcome again on Wall Street.
- Londian Wason priced its upsized IPO at $22 per ADS, raising $94.3 million, and shares opened at $26 on the NYSE, valuing the Shenzhen-based firm at $2.01 billion.
- Londian Wason was the world's largest supplier of lithium-ion battery copper foil by sales volume in 2025 with about 7.6% global market share, supplying CATL, LG Energy Solution, Panasonic, BYD and Samsung SDI.
- The company runs seven manufacturing facilities with roughly 180,500 metric tons of designed annual electrolytic copper foil capacity as of December 31, 2025.
- Five of Londian Wason's largest customers made up about 64% of total 2025 revenue, a concentration analysts say the company must diversify away from to sustain growth.
- It's the largest U.S. listing by a Chinese company since tea chain Chagee's April 2025 debut, following years of dwindling Chinese IPOs amid U.S.-China tensions and regulatory scrutiny.
- IPOX Research's Lukas Muehlbauer cautioned that the low-float deal's first-day pop reflects a scarcity premium rather than proof the U.S. market has fully reopened to larger Chinese IPOs.
- The debut taps rising EV and AI-driven copper foil demand, but its narrow float leaves the stock exposed to volatility and a potential supply overhang from future offerings.
