Radial acquires Mindful Health Solutions, forming largest brain medicine network
August 20, 2026
The deal folds a 27-clinic, decades-old outpatient psychiatry group into a two-year-old startup betting on neuromodulation and psychedelics.
- Radial, a General Catalyst-backed brain medicine startup, acquired the management services organization behind Mindful Health Solutions, a larger and older interventional psychiatry provider; terms were not disclosed.
- Founded in 2007, Mindful Health Solutions runs TMS, esketamine (Spravato), and IV ketamine infusion clinics for treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, OCD and suicidality.
- The combined network now spans 27 outpatient clinics across California, Texas, Washington and New York, with over 100 clinicians treating hundreds of thousands of patients annually.
- Radial, founded in 2023 and backed by General Catalyst, runs RadialOS, an AI-native operating system for treatment matching, reimbursement and care coordination across its clinics.
- The acquisition ends a short hold for Mindful Health Solutions' prior backer Aisling Capital, while shuffling leadership: CMO Tobias Marton stays on, CEO Mark Kehoe moves to an advisory role, and Radial cofounder Owen Muir becomes Chief Scientific Officer.
- Studies cited by the companies show remission rates up to 79% for treatments like accelerated TMS and esketamine, versus 5-30% for traditional SSRIs and talk therapy.
- The deal signals consolidation in interventional psychiatry as venture capital bets that neuromodulation and eventually psychedelics will move mainstream mental health care beyond pills and talk therapy.
