CDW to acquire data and AI consultancy Lovelytics for $525 million

The deal shows how the biggest gains in enterprise AI now go to firms that clean up messy corporate data, not just sell software.

• CDW agreed to acquire data and AI services firm Lovelytics for approximately $525 million, with the deal expected to close in Q3 2026.
• Founded in 2017 and based in Arlington, Virginia, Lovelytics helps organizations modernize, govern and use their data, with deep expertise in the Databricks platform.
• Lovelytics employs more than 600 people across the U.S., Canada, Argentina and Colombia and works across energy, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, financial services and media.
• Lovelytics was the first consulting partner backed by Databricks Ventures and has won multiple Databricks Partner of the Year awards, including in 2026.
• Only 12% of enterprises feel fully prepared on data readiness to support AI, according to Gartner research cited in CDW's announcement.
• CDW, which reported $22.4 billion in fiscal 2025 revenue and has historically been known for reselling hardware and software, said the deal will not materially affect its 2026 financials as it pushes deeper into consulting.
• The acquisition signals that IT resellers see services around data readiness, not just AI tools themselves, as the bigger near-term revenue opportunity as enterprises struggle to move AI from pilots to production.
