Nvidia backs Indian AI startup Simplismart's $14M Series B
October 27, 2026
Raised
$14M
The chipmaker is backing software that lets customers use fewer of its own chips, a bet that efficiency expands rather than shrinks GPU demand.
- Simplismart raised $14 million in an all-primary Series B led by Dallas Venture Capital, with Nvidia, Accel, Shastra VC and Micromax participating, valuing the startup at about $100 million.
- Simplismart's software sits between AI models and computing infrastructure, automatically tuning how models are deployed to balance speed, cost and GPU usage for enterprise customers.
- Founded in Bengaluru in 2022 by Amritanshu Jain and Devansh Ghatak, BITS Pilani roommates who previously worked at Oracle, Capillary Technologies and Google.
- Accel, a repeat backer, previously led Simplismart's $7 million Series A in October 2024, roughly two years before this larger round.
- Simplismart says its annualised revenue run rate grew 14x over the past six months, and it helped video platform InVideo cut GPU serving costs by 56%.
- Simplismart was an early member of Nvidia's Inception Program for startups and had already collaborated with Nvidia on inference microservices before this investment.
- As inference costs overtake training as enterprises' biggest AI expense, Nvidia funding software that trims GPU usage shows chipmakers now see efficiency tooling as essential to sustaining demand for their hardware, not a threat to it.
