Ondas acquires drone maker DZYNE Technologies for $876M

The deal folds long-endurance surveillance drones and a kinetic anti-drone interceptor into a platform racing to counter Shahed-style threats.

• Ondas Holdings signed an agreement to acquire DZYNE Technologies, controlled by Highlander Partners, for $875.8 million — $200 million in cash and $675 million in Ondas stock.
• DZYNE Technologies, based in Irvine, California, builds long-endurance ISR drones and counter-drone systems, including the stratospheric ULTRA aircraft and the IonStrike kinetic interceptor.
• DZYNE's lineup also includes the swarm-capable Blitz attack drone with a 93-mile range and the Grasshopper autonomous glider, which can drop 500 pounds of supplies into contested areas.
• Ondas posted Q2 2026 revenue of $83.8 million, up 67% sequentially, with a pro-forma backlog of $757 million once DZYNE and Cyberhawk contributions are included.
• The acquisition lands amid a defense-tech funding surge — U.S. defense startups raised $19.2 billion in H1 2026, up from $16.6 billion a year earlier — even as Ondas shares are down 24% in 2026 after a 280% run-up in 2025.
