TCS to acquire Porsche's MHP consulting arm for $373M
August 24, 2026
Deal Value
$373M
The sale bundles a five-year AI partnership worth nearly four times the purchase price, turning a divestiture into a long-term software contract.
- TCS agreed to acquire 100% of Porsche's management and IT consulting subsidiary MHP for an enterprise value of €320 million (about $373 million), with closing expected in three to four months pending regulatory approval.
- MHP, headquartered in Ludwigsburg, Germany, is an automotive and industrial consulting firm specializing in digital transformation, AI, SAP transformation and software-defined mobility, with about 4,500 employees.
- The acquisition anchors a separate five-year, €1.25 billion ($1.46 billion) partnership under which TCS will build a dedicated AI Mobility Centre of Excellence for Porsche covering engineering, manufacturing, operations and customer experience.
- The sale is part of Porsche's 'Sportwagenschmiede 35' strategy to refocus on its core sports-car business, following earlier divestments of stakes in Bugatti and Rimac and cuts to its Cellforce battery unit.
- MHP's turnover fell to €742 million in 2025 from €830 million in 2024 and €828 million in 2023, reflecting softer demand across European IT consulting.
- The deal shows how IT services firms are using tuck-in acquisitions to lock in multi-year AI contracts with industrial clients, offsetting slower growth in traditional outsourcing work.
