Accenture agrees to acquire Dutch SAP consultancy McCoy

The deal folds a 380-person SAP specialist into Accenture Edge, the mid-market unit it launched to fight smaller rivals for AI modernization work.

• Accenture has agreed to acquire McCoy, a Netherlands-based SAP transformation consultancy, with the deal to close subject to customary regulatory approvals.
• Founded in 2012 and headquartered in the Netherlands, McCoy designs, implements and manages SAP solutions across ERP, data, managed services and enterprise integration, with offices also in Spain and the Philippines.
• McCoy brings more than 380 SAP specialists and proprietary tools including SmartERP, Smart Extensions, Smart Re-use and McCoy Integration Studio into Accenture Edge.
• McCoy is an SAP Gold Partner and will contribute to Advance, a joint Accenture-SAP initiative offering packaged services for mid-market clients.
• Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
• The purchase follows Accenture's recent launch of Accenture Edge, a dedicated mid-market business, as it competes for SAP modernization and AI transformation work.
• The deal lands amid a wider wave of consulting consolidation, days after Tata Consultancy Services agreed to buy Porsche's SAP-focused consultancy MHP for €320 million.
• Global systems integrators are racing to acquire regional SAP specialists because proximity to mid-market clients and local delivery expertise, not raw engineering scale, is now the binding constraint on growth.
