Mech-Mind Robotics launches Hong Kong IPO seeking up to $344M
August 24, 2026
The company builds the 3D-vision and AI software that let robots see and think, sidestepping the crowded humanoid-robot manufacturing race.
- Mech-Mind Robotics Technologies opened bookbuilding on August 24 for 23.14 million H shares priced at HK$95.3-101.7, with gross proceeds reaching up to HK$2.7 billion (about $344 million) if priced at the top and the over-allotment option is fully exercised.
- Founded in 2016, the Xiongan-based firm doesn't build robot bodies; it makes the standardized 3D cameras, AI software and 'Eye-Brain-Hand' components that let robots perceive and act, deployed in over 27,000 units across roughly 50 countries.
- Nine cornerstone investors committed a combined $186 million, led by Baillie Gifford at $60 million and Taikang Life Insurance at $40 million; shares are set to debut on the HKEX Main Board September 1 under ticker 09615.
- Revenue grew from 181 million yuan in 2023 to 389 million yuan in 2025, while adjusted net losses narrowed to 109 million yuan (about $16 million) from 214 million yuan a year earlier; overseas sales topped 50% of revenue for the first time in 2025.
- The fundraising target has climbed from about $200 million a year ago to roughly $300-344 million now, with the Hong Kong public offering oversubscribed 19 times and drawing HK$2.27 billion in margin loans.
- The listing joins a broader wave of Chinese robotics companies going public in Hong Kong, following Unitree Robotics' 629% share surge on its Shanghai debut and pending listings from AgiBot and X Square Robot.
- As humanoid and industrial robot makers multiply, investors are increasingly betting on the perception-and-decision components underneath them rather than the robot bodies themselves, a picks-and-shovels play on the physical AI boom.
