CesiumAstro acquires RF chipmaker Jariet Technologies for satellites

Bringing semiconductor design in house lets a satellite maker control performance across the entire RF signal chain.

• CesiumAstro announced on August 12, 2026 that it has acquired Jariet Technologies, a fabless mmWave RF System-on-Chip semiconductor company; deal terms were not disclosed.
• CesiumAstro builds space communications and ISR systems, while Jariet designs RF-SoC chips using direct RF/IF sampling and digital beamforming for SATCOM, electronic warfare and radar.
• The acquisition folds mixed-signal semiconductor design into CesiumAstro's existing stack of phased arrays, software-defined payloads and satellite platforms, aiming to cut size, weight, power and cost.
• The purchase follows CesiumAstro's earlier acquisition of Vidrovr, an AI-powered signal-processing company, extending a pattern of buying up the layers of its supply chain.
• Owning chip design in-house gives a defense-focused satellite builder a domestic, more secure semiconductor supply chain at a time when the industry has relied on outsourced RF chip production.
