Hark launches Handoff, an autonomous web-browsing AI agent

Most websites still lack public APIs, so the agent visually navigates pages and clicks like a human would.

• Hark launched Handoff, a computer-use agent that opens a virtual browser to complete tasks like ordering food, booking flights, and messaging job candidates, with public sign-ups now open at hark.com.
• Hark was founded earlier this year by serial entrepreneur Brett Adcock, previously the founder of Figure AI and Archer Aviation.
• Hark says Handoff scored 97.7 on the Online-Mind2Web benchmark, topping OpenAI's GPT 5.4 (92.8), Anthropic's Claude Opus 4.8 (84.1), and Google's Gemini 2.5 Pro (69).
• Hark prices Handoff at $0.18 per million input tokens and $2.37 per million output tokens, roughly a tenth of GPT 5.5's $5 and $30 rates, with 0.8-second per-turn latency.
• The launch follows Hark's $700 million Series A in May 2026, which valued the company at $6 billion months before its planned hardware product.
• Hark said Handoff currently runs on a post-trained model, with plans to pre-train its own model later this year to improve speed and accuracy.
• Handoff is Hark's first real test of whether its hefty valuation can translate into a working consumer product before its hardware arrives.
