Fourthline and Veridas complete merger, backed by $70M financing
November 3, 2026
Banks increasingly want one vendor for biometric verification and regulatory compliance as AI-generated fraud grows more sophisticated.
- Fourthline and Veridas closed their merger on November 3, 2026, forming a single bank-grade digital identity platform spanning 50+ countries under Fourthline CEO Paul Stoddart.
- Fourthline built identity verification and compliance tools for banks; Veridas brings proprietary facial and voice biometrics plus document-verification technology, giving the combined firm end-to-end KYC/AML coverage.
- The deal includes up to €65m (about $70M) in funding from existing shareholder Finch Capital, new equity from Seaya Andromeda, and debt financing from Ashgrove Capital, used for integration, M&A and partial liquidity for Veridas shareholders.
- The combined company projects more than €50m in 2026 revenue, €85m in annual recurring revenue by 2029, 200 million identity verifications in 2026, and €20m in annual run-rate synergies.
- The merger was first announced on July 16, 2026, and closed roughly four months later after regulatory and deal conditions were satisfied.
- Integration will roll out in phases, with both platforms maintaining existing contracts and local support for current customers in the meantime.
- The tie-up reflects broader consolidation in digital identity and biometrics, as vendors combine fraud-detection and compliance capabilities to meet tightening rules like the EU AMLR, MiCA and eIDAS 2.0.
