Shanghai StairMed Technology closed a strategic financing round of RMB 500 million, equivalent to about $72.8 million, on April 2, 2026. Alibaba led the investment, joined by existing backers Tencent, Fountainbridge Capital, OrbiMed, Oriza Seed, Qiming Venture Partners, Lilly Asia Ventures, and Source Code Capital. Springhill Fund acted as the exclusive financial advisor. This round increases StairMed's total funding over the past year beyond RMB 1.1 billion, providing resources to advance its brain-machine interface (BMI) and deep brain stimulation (DBS) technologies for neurological conditions like Parkinson's and epilepsy.
