Greenjets raises $40M Series A for aerospace propulsion, drone tech

The raise follows the UK Ministry of Defence tapping the startup to build a low-cost drone interceptor under a five-nation NATO-linked program.

• Greenjets closed a $40 million Series A led by Blossom Capital, with the NATO Innovation Fund and the UK's National Security Strategic Investment Fund joining existing backers Tanglin Ventures and NSFO Family Office.
• Founded in 2022 by Anmol Manohar and Dr. Guido Monterzino, the London-based company builds proprietary propulsion architectures spanning electric ducted fans to geared turbofan engines for aircraft and drones.
• The funding lands days after the UK Ministry of Defence picked Greenjets as one of three firms under the Low-Cost Air Defence Effectors program to develop a British drone interceptor, headed for demonstration trials later in 2026.
• That program, called LCADE, is run through the National Armaments Director Group as part of LEAP, a five-nation initiative spanning the UK, Poland, France, Italy and Germany, with the UK the first to place suppliers under contract.
• Over the past year Greenjets grew its UK footprint from 12,000 to nearly 70,000 square feet and is on track to expand headcount from 160 to more than 250 people.
• The deal shows how war-driven demand for cheap drone interceptors is pulling traditional venture capital and state-backed defense funds like NATO's into the same aerospace propulsion bets.
