Applied Intuition launches Dana, agentic platform for physical AI

It aims to shrink a typical robotics engineering team of five to eight people down to about one, using natural-language commands.

• Applied Intuition launched Dana on July 21, 2026, calling it the first agentic platform for building, testing, deploying and operating physical AI systems across industries.

• Dana organizes work into three stages—data curation, workflow orchestration and insights analysis—and is accessible via natural language, APIs, command-line tools, and integrations like Slack and Jira.
• In internal use, Dana has cut critical phases of vehicle development from months to days, with development cycles running roughly 20 times faster and deployments jumping from once every few weeks to five to ten per day.
• Early access customers include Isuzu Motors, using Dana to accelerate Level 4 autonomy for its commercial truck fleet, and Komatsu Mining, applying it to mining equipment development.
• CEO Qasar Younis says the goal is to cut the engineering team needed to build an autonomous device from five to eight people down to about one, comparing the shift to how AI made app-building accessible to non-engineers.
