Bidbus has raised a $15M Series A led by Ibex Investors to expand its used-car dealer bidding marketplace beyond its initial markets.

Bidbus, a Los Angeles-based marketplace that lets car dealerships bid on consumer-owned used vehicles, has closed a $15 million Series A funding round. The round was led by mobility-focused firm Ibex Investors, with participation from Mucker Capital, FJ Labs, Motley Fool Ventures, Data Point Capital, Walter Ventures, and strategic angels including Yossi Levi of Car Dealership Guy. The capital will be used to expand Bidbus’s dealer marketplace beyond its early footprint in California and Texas and to further develop its auction-driven platform for matching sellers with vetted dealers.

The company positions itself as an AI-first auction marketplace that enables verified dealers to compete directly for consumer vehicles, aiming to deliver higher offers than traditional instant-offer platforms. Bidbus has already facilitated thousands of car sales and scaled its annualized GMV while operating in limited geographies, and the new funding is intended to support national expansion and product growth. Valuation figures for the round were not formally disclosed, though one third-party data provider estimates Bidbus’s effective valuation at around $58.2 million based on comparable companies, with a stated range between $37.5 million and $90 million and moderate confidence in the estimate.
