Voice AI startup Rime raised a $24M Series A led by M13 to expand its speech-to-speech platform for enterprise customer calls.

Rime, a San Francisco-based enterprise voice AI startup, has raised $24 million in a Series A funding round to accelerate development of its speech-to-speech technology for handling customer calls. The round was led by M13, with participation from Twilio Ventures, Corazon Capital, Unusual Ventures, and other existing investors. The company, founded in 2022, focuses on building linguistics-first, speech-to-speech models designed for enterprises that want AI agents to field inbound calls across sectors including healthcare, fintech, airlines, and food service.

The new capital will be used to invest further in Rime’s proprietary conversational dataset, scale its infrastructure, and make strategic engineering and research hires as it pursues broader enterprise adoption. Rime already powers voice experiences for large enterprise customers and aims to expand its 35-person team as it grows. The funding underscores investor interest in specialized voice AI platforms that go beyond traditional speech-to-text, and positions Rime as a contender in the emerging market for production-grade, speech-to-speech models tailored to complex customer service workflows.
