Sekai has raised a $20 million Series A to scale its platform for creating mini apps from text prompts. The round was announced on June 2, 2026, and was co-led by Khosla Ventures and Connect Ventures, with participation from a16z Speedrun, Mayfield, 359 Capital, Parable VC, and 645 Ventures.

The company’s product lets users describe an idea and generate interactive mini-apps, positioning Sekai in the fast-growing category of consumer AI creation tools. Axios reported that the platform had already seen strong usage, with more than 15 million mini-apps created and heavy daily activity, suggesting the company is building around a high-frequency creation and remix loop.

Sekai is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and was founded in 2024. The funding is intended to support growth of the product and the underlying platform as the company expands its AI app creation offering.
