Netflix disclosed $587M cash deal for Ben Affleck's InterPositive

A 16-person filmmaking AI team just became one of the priciest per-head acquisitions in Hollywood's brief history with generative tools.

• Earlier reports pegged the total deal value at up to $600 million including performance-based milestones, above the $587 million cash payment confirmed in the SEC filing.
• At the higher $600 million figure, the acquisition works out to roughly $37.5 million per employee for a 16-person team.
• In the same earnings disclosure, Netflix said generative AI had been used in roughly 300 titles this year, including 17 minutes of AI-enhanced footage in the docuseries The American Experiment.
