Databento announced a $97 million Series B financing led by New Enterprise Associates, with participation from DRW Venture Capital, Redpoint Ventures, Tribe Capital and other existing backers. The company said the round was significantly oversubscribed, drawing more than $300 million in total demand.
The raise brings Databento’s disclosed funding total to about $127 million. No valuation was publicly disclosed in the reports, and the company said the capital will support expansion across asset classes and geographies, along with continued investment in its market data infrastructure.
Databento provides a market data platform for modern finance and said it plans to expand its data center footprint to more than 20 locations worldwide while adding substantial storage capacity. The company also reported strong recent operating momentum, including revenue growth and profitability ahead of schedule, which likely helped drive investor interest in the round.
