Garena to launch mobile MMO 'Palworld Online' under Pocketpair license

The spinoff hands Palworld's console hit to a mobile-first studio built for live-service scale and monetization.

• Garena announced Palworld Online, a mobile MMO based on Pocketpair's Palworld IP, developed and published by Garena under an official license, targeting iOS and Android release later in 2026.
• Pocketpair is the Japanese studio behind Palworld's creature-collecting survival hit; Garena, the Singapore-based publisher of Free Fire, is building and running the mobile spinoff.
• The game reimagines Palworld's open-world survival and creature-collecting systems for touchscreens, adding an original narrative setting, new side stories, shared settlements, and PvE/PvP content.
• The announcement follows Palworld's 1.0 launch on console and PC last month, which Pocketpair says drove huge Steam numbers after nearly 4.5 years of development.
• It's not Pocketpair's only mobile bet on the IP: a farming spinoff called Palfarm was announced last year and, like Palworld Online, still has no confirmed release date.
• Licensing the mobile build to a specialist publisher like Garena lets Pocketpair extend Palworld's reach into a much larger, higher-monetizing mobile audience without diverting its own team from the core game.
