RayNeo launches iO Smart Glasses and cinema-grade GT Series AR glasses
August 21, 2026
One line splits into two dedicated devices, betting that all-day AI eyewear and immersive display glasses need separate hardware, not one compromise.
- RayNeo announced two new AR product lines on August 21, 2026: the iO Smart Glasses for daily productivity and the GT Series (GT and GT Max) for cinema-grade entertainment, both going on sale September 4, 2026.
- RayNeo, incubated by TCL Electronics, currently leads the global consumer AR smart glasses market with 23.7% shipment share as of Q1 2026, according to Counterpoint Research.
- The iO Smart Glasses weigh 33 grams, use a monochrome green waveguide display, and run Timekettle's BabelOS 3.0 to translate 55 languages and 109 accents in real time with about one second of latency.
- The GT Max uses a 5.5th-gen Tandem MicroOLED display with a 59-degree field of view that scales a virtual screen up to 307 inches, and pairs with the Pocket TV Pro streaming puck for Dolby Vision playback.
- The GT starts at $299 and the GT Max at $399, pricing the entertainment-focused glasses well below many premium spatial-computing headsets.
- The iO's minimalist, prescription-glasses styling contrasts with bulkier rivals like Meta's Ray-Ban Display, trading a color display and speakers for an all-day form factor.
- By splitting productivity and entertainment into separate dedicated devices rather than one do-it-all headset, RayNeo is betting that AR glasses need distinct form factors to serve mainstream use cases, not a single compromise device.
