Micron Technology has entered a multi-year memory and storage supply agreement with Anthropic that makes the chipmaker a core infrastructure partner for the Claude AI model family. Under the pact, Micron will provide high-bandwidth memory (HBM), DRAM, and data center SSDs across Anthropic’s AI infrastructure, giving the AI lab long-term visibility into critical memory and storage capacity as it scales training and inference workloads. The companies have not disclosed financial terms, unit volumes, or specific capacity commitments, but describe the arrangement as spanning Micron’s data center portfolio and supporting Anthropic’s multi-year compute growth.
Beyond the supply contract, the deal is structured as a four-pillar strategic partnership that links Anthropic’s frontier models directly to Micron’s product roadmap. Micron and Anthropic will co-design memory and storage architectures optimized for AI workloads, jointly analyzing how HBM, DRAM, and SSD subsystems behave across the full stack to improve performance, energy efficiency, and token economics in Anthropic’s infrastructure. Micron is also deploying Anthropic’s Claude models internally to accelerate coding and enable agentic applications in engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise functions, effectively becoming a large reference customer for Anthropic’s enterprise offering. In parallel, Micron has made a strategic, undisclosed investment in Anthropic’s Series H round, which raised $65 billion at a $965 billion valuation, deepening its alignment with one of the leading frontier AI developers as AI memory demand becomes a key growth driver for the semiconductor industry.
