Xieyue Intelligence raises hundreds of millions of yuan for home robot AI
September 28, 2026
Home robotics has become the flashpoint where China's best-funded AI teams are testing physical intelligence at scale.
- Xieyue Intelligence closed an Angel+ round worth hundreds of millions of yuan, with Linear Capital joining as a co-investor to back its embodied foundation model work.
- Founded in February 2026, Xieyue was co-founded by Chen Wei, former chief AI scientist at Li Auto, and Zhang Xiao, former president of Li Auto's product line, aiming to build general-purpose home robots.
- The startup's 'Duplex Reasoning' approach keeps a two-way channel open between humans and robots, letting people interrupt, correct or redirect actions mid-task rather than just issuing commands.
- Xieyue plans to first validate its models in semi-structured settings like hotels and elder-care facilities before tackling high-frequency home tasks such as laundry, tidying and cleaning.
- The round lands amid a cluster of Chinese embodied-AI financings in September 2026, including Xirang Kaiwu's $500M-valued seed round and Feijie Kesi's Series A1, as capital chases physical-world AI models.
- Home robotics is emerging as a key proving ground for embodied AI because it forces models to handle unstructured, high-frequency tasks that are far harder to fake than controlled lab demos.
