Reco raises $55M led by AT&T Ventures to lock down AI agents

$55M
Enterprises are deploying autonomous agents faster than security teams can even find them, let alone control what they touch.
- Reco raised $55 million in a strategic round led by AT&T Ventures, with new backers Forestay and Quadrille Capital, lifting its total funding to $140 million.
- Founded in 2020 by CEO Ofer Klein, CTO Tal Shapira and CPO Gal Nakash, Reco builds a 'Reco Graph' that maps AI agents to the identities, permissions, apps and data they can reach.
- AT&T Ventures joined as both an investor and a customer; Reco will use the capital to expand sales, partnerships, channels and customer support as Fortune 500 clients move from pilots to production.
- At one Fortune 100 customer, Reco's platform surfaced 21,000 AI agents the company didn't know it had, including one set up by a former employee that could siphon Salesforce data.
- Gartner projects the average Fortune 500 enterprise will run over 150,000 AI agents by 2028, up from fewer than 15 in 2025 — a surge driving what the industry calls 'agent sprawl.'
- The round follows a $30 million Series B closed in February 2026 led by Zeev Ventures, and lands as roughly two dozen startups now compete to sell some form of AI agent security.
- As enterprises embed agents into everyday workflows faster than they can track them, investors are betting that governing what agents can access — not just detecting attacks — becomes core cybersecurity infrastructure.
