Legora makes fourth 2026 buy with acquisition of CRE AI platform Cadastral

June 2, 2026

Legal AI unicorn Legora has acquired commercial real estate AI platform Cadastral in its fourth M&A deal of 2026; financial terms were not disclosed.

Legaltech company Legora has acquired Cadastral, an AI agent platform purpose-built for commercial real estate, in a deal that marks Legora’s fourth acquisition of 2026. The transaction, completed on 2 June 2026, brings into Legora a New York–based team and a product used by major commercial real estate players including JLL, AvalonBay, Equity Residential and Empire State Realty Trust. Several reports and Legora’s own announcement state that the purchase price and detailed financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Market commentary notes only that Legora itself was recently valued at about $5.6 billion following an extension of its Series D round, but no valuation has been reported specifically for Cadastral or the deal.

The acquisition is strategically significant for both companies. For Legora, it represents a move beyond core legal workflows into one of the most document- and contract-intensive verticals, commercial real estate, while also anchoring its first major US engineering hub in New York City. Cadastral, founded in 2024 and launched in 2025, has quickly built a base of more than 50 customers and grown revenue at a rapid monthly pace, positioning its platform as a way to automate and accelerate CRE workflows. As part of the transaction, Cadastral’s full team is joining Legora, with the combined entity targeting more than 200 employees in New York and more than 300 across North America by the end of 2026.

Legora’s acquisition of Cadastral follows a string of 2026 deals including Australian regulatory intelligence platform Graceview, Swedish AI legal research startup Qura, and Canadian agentic legal AI platform Walter AI, underscoring an M&A-led expansion strategy into legally intensive and adjacent industries. The company’s recent Series D financing, led by investors such as NVentures and Atlassian, brought its valuation to roughly $5.6 billion and coincided with surpassing $100 million in annual recurring revenue, providing additional capital to support these acquisitions. For Cadastral, joining a larger AI legal platform gives it broader distribution and infrastructure while keeping its focus on commercial real estate use cases, but public filings and press coverage confirm that neither cash consideration, equity mix, nor any earn-out structure have been made public.
