Chinese GPU chipmaker Denglin launches $224M Hong Kong IPO
October 30, 2026
The offering tests whether investors will fund an early-stage chip firm with just 1% of China's enterprise AI GPU market.
- Suzhou Denglin Technology opened its Hong Kong IPO on October 30, offering 6.125M H shares at HK$231-HK$288 each to raise up to roughly $224M before a planned November 10 listing under ticker 09917.HK.
- Denglin designs general-purpose GPUs (GPGPUs) for China's enterprise AI computing market, built on its proprietary GPU+ architecture spanning data-center and edge-inference chip lines.
- Five cornerstone investors, including Everbright Wealth Management and Huayuan, committed a combined HK$650M (about $83M), covering roughly 37% of the global offering.
- Denglin generated $30.1M in total revenue in the first four months of 2026, including $25.1M from GPGPU product sales across 10,344 chips, an average selling price near $2,430.
- Despite the raise, Denglin holds roughly 1% of China's enterprise AI GPGPU market, ranking third by 2025 revenue in a sector that grew from RMB1.9B in 2021 to RMB11.8B in 2025.
- The listing adds to a record year for Hong Kong IPOs, with 116 listings raising over HK$388 billion in the first three quarters of 2026, more than double the prior year's pace.
- Denglin's offering tests how much capital investors will commit to early-stage, loss-making chip designers as China races to build domestic alternatives to Nvidia-dominated AI computing.
