Qureight raises $20M Series B to scale AI lung and heart imaging trials

$20M

Series B

Turning CT scans into quantitative biomarkers lets trial sponsors measure fibrosis progression faster than radiologists reading scans by eye.

  • Cambridge-based Qureight closed a $20 million Series B led by Molten Ventures, joined by existing backers Hargreave Hale AIM VCT, XTX Ventures, Guinness Ventures, Meltwind and Ascension.
  • Founded in 2018, Qureight is an end-to-end imaging CRO that runs an AI-powered quantitative imaging platform to build precision endpoints for lung and heart disease clinical trials.
  • The capital funds a new AI imaging laboratory to house Qureight's 3D chest imaging Foundation Model, cutting the data and time needed to build new disease models.
  • Beyond its existing lung fibrosis models, Qureight is expanding into asthma, pulmonary hypertension, bronchiectasis and drug-induced lung toxicity.
  • Qureight's imaging models, including Fibr8 and Vascul8, are already deployed in Mediar Therapeutics' Phase 2 trial of MTX-474 for systemic sclerosis-related lung fibrosis.
  • Qureight has around 40-50 employees and had raised roughly $11.2 million across two prior rounds before this Series B, per company data.
  • Quantitative imaging biomarkers can reveal drug effects on lung and heart tissue earlier than standard clinical endpoints, potentially shortening and cutting the cost of trials for hard-to-measure fibrotic diseases.
