Decade raises record $85M seed to bring AI wealth advice to Brazil

August 4, 2026

$85M

Seed

Founded by Nubank's former CTO, the venture targets a market where only a third of Brazilians invest and just 7% can retire on savings.

  • Decade emerged from stealth with an $85 million seed round led by Greenoaks, with Benchmark and Diffusion also participating, which backers call the largest seed round ever raised by a Latin American startup.
  • The São Paulo-based startup pairs each client with a senior human financial advisor and a proprietary AI model that tracks spending, investments and full balance sheets around the clock via Brazil's Open Finance system.
  • The service costs roughly R$200 a month and already integrates with major Brazilian brokerages BTG Pactual and XP Investimentos for portfolio data, with direct trade execution planned next.
  • Only about a third of Brazilians hold any investment and just 7% can fund their own retirement from savings, even though Brazil's Pix system processes close to 100 billion payments a year.
  • CEO Vitor Olivier joined Nubank in 2014 as one of its first engineers and rose to global CTO as it grew into the world's largest digital bank; co-founder Felipe Meneses founded AI startup Hyperplane, which Nubank later acquired.
  • Decade is betting that the same team that used technology to strip out banking fees for tens of millions of Brazilians can now apply AI to close a much harder gap: getting ordinary savers real investment guidance, not just cheaper accounts.
