Bellatrix Aerospace raised $20 million in a pre-Series B funding round led by Cactus Partners, with participation from Hero Investment Office and others. The funds will expand manufacturing for satellite propulsion systems amid rising demand.
Bellatrix Aerospace, a Bengaluru-based spacetech startup specializing in satellite propulsion systems, closed a $20 million pre-Series B growth round led by Cactus Partners. New investors including Hero Investment Office, 35 North Ventures, Indusbridge Ventures, and Monarch Holdings joined, alongside existing backers like Inflexor, Pavestone, GrowX, Startup Xseed, and Survam Partners. The round equates to approximately Rs 190 crore, with Cactus Partners contributing around Rs 28.5 crore and Hero Enterprise Partner Ventures Rs 25 crore based on filings.
The capital targets rapid expansion of manufacturing facilities and high-throughput production lines to address surging demand from domestic and international satellite constellations. This infusion supports a shift from flight-proven technology to large-scale commercial manufacturing and global supply chain integration, bolstering operational readiness for customer programs.
One report indicates a post-money valuation of around Rs 870 crore, a 2.7 times increase from the prior round, underscoring investor confidence in India's spacetech sector and Bellatrix's propulsion capabilities. This funding aligns with the sector's momentum, where startups developing advanced technologies attract strong backing for high-impact applications.
