Isomorphic Labs closed a $2.1 billion Series B led by Thrive Capital, with Alphabet, GV and new backers including MGX and Temasek. The round was completed at an undisclosed valuation.
Isomorphic Labs raised $2.1 billion in a Series B financing led by Thrive Capital. The round also included participation from Alphabet, GV, CapitalG, Temasek, MGX, and the UK Sovereign AI Fund, according to company and news reports.
The funding was completed at an undisclosed valuation. Reuters reported that the company did not disclose the valuation, while the company said the capital will help scale its AI drug design engine and advance its pipeline.
Isomorphic Labs is an AI-first drug discovery company spun out of Google DeepMind and founded by Demis Hassabis. The company previously raised $600 million in its first external funding round a year earlier, and its platform is aimed at accelerating drug discovery through AI models such as AlphaFold 3.
The size of the round places Isomorphic Labs among the largest biotech financings to date and underscores continued investor appetite for AI applied to drug development. The company has also signed partnerships with major pharmaceutical companies, including Novartis and Eli Lilly, which Forbes said could be worth up to $3 billion collectively.
