Astorg Mid Cap Acquires Barkene for Expansion in Security Services

Barkene, founded in 2018 by Richard Weihart and backed by Montefiore, has grown into a leading multi-specialist provider of mission-critical technical services in France. The company executed 16 strategic acquisitions, achieving over €110 million in revenue for 2025 through its nationwide network of 39 branches and 800 employees. It serves more than 18,000 clients in sectors like banking, industry, retail, and local authorities, offering integrated services in electronic security, fire safety, and automatic doors, including installation, maintenance, and certified remote monitoring.

Astorg Mid Cap, a private equity firm, will acquire Barkene to partner with its management team on further expansion, focusing on disciplined mergers and acquisitions alongside operational improvements. This transaction builds on Barkene's strong fundamentals and positions it for scaled growth in the business services sector. The deal awaits customary regulatory approvals and is set to close in the coming months, with Astorg leveraging its expertise to capture efficiencies.
