Miami-based eMed raised $200 million in a Series A round led by AON Consulting, achieving a $2 billion-plus valuation. The funding supports its AI-driven platform for GLP-1 programs amid rising employer healthcare costs.

eMed, a Miami-based telehealth and population health company, closed a $200 million Series A funding round on March 26, 2026, reaching a valuation exceeding $2 billion. The round was led by AON Consulting, Inc., with participation from investors including NFL star Tom Brady, who serves as Founding Chief Wellness Officer, Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale, Chicago Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts, Valor Equity Partners CEO Antonio Gracias, Paragon Biosciences founder Jeff Aronin, Knighthead Capital's Ara Cohen, Lettuce Entertain You CEO R.J. Melman, and eMed CEO Linda Yaccarino. Originally founded in 2020, eMed pivoted from pandemic-era at-home COVID-19 testing and diagnostics for conditions like strep throat and UTIs to focus on managing GLP-1 and GIP medications for obesity and diabetes through employer programs.

The capital will enhance eMed's agentic AI platform for member management, bolster its balance sheet, and introduce a capitated payment model to deliver predictable costs for employers grappling with escalating healthcare expenses from weight-loss drugs. This shift positions eMed to address the financial strain on corporations as demand surges for these therapies, enabling better control over chronic condition management. eMed's clinician-supervised telehealth services, including GLP-1 prescriptions, at-home blood testing, and consultations, have driven its rapid growth in the employer-focused digital health space.

This funding underscores investor confidence in eMed's strategy amid the GLP-1 boom, where costs have hindered broader insurance adoption. By partnering with employers and payers, eMed tackles a key industry challenge, potentially setting a standard for population health solutions in healthcare cost containment.
