$3.6B

Salesforce signed a $3.6B deal to acquire AI customer agent company Fin (formerly Intercom), with closing expected in Q4 of its FY 2027.

Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Fin, the AI customer service and autonomous agent platform formerly known as Intercom, in a deal valued at approximately $3.6 billion, subject to customary purchase price adjustments. The agreement was announced on June 15, 2026, and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year 2027, pending regulatory approvals and standard closing conditions. According to Salesforce, the transaction will not affect its previously issued fiscal 2027 financial guidance or its capital return program.

Fin provides an AI agent that automates customer service across multiple channels and serves a reported base of more than 30,000 companies, resolving millions of customer conversations per week. By integrating Fin into its Agentforce platform, Salesforce aims to offer faster-to-deploy, packaged AI customer service workflows that complement its existing customizable enterprise AI agents. The acquisition is being framed as one of the largest deals to date in the agentic customer experience space and is intended to deepen Salesforce’s AI automation capabilities for both small and medium-sized businesses and large enterprises.
