Raised
$114M
Its AI turns years of scattered CAD files and spreadsheets into searchable records, stopping factories from repurchasing parts they already own.
- CADDi raised $114 million in a Series D that included Moore Strategic Ventures and Coreline Ventures among eight investors, valuing the manufacturing AI startup at $1.2 billion.
- The Tokyo- and Chicago-based startup, founded in 2017, builds AI that scans CAD drawings, PDFs and spec sheets to make decades of factory engineering and purchasing data searchable.
- The valuation more than doubled from $470 million in March 2025, and total funding raised since founding now stands at $234 million.
- New backers include Toyota's growth fund Woven Capital, Recruit's HR Tech Fund and Salesforce Ventures, joining existing investors Atomico, Globis Capital Partners and JPS Growth Investment.
- CADDi already serves customers in 22 countries, including over half of Japan's 100 largest manufacturers, and plans to funnel the new capital into further North American expansion.
- Headcount has grown to about 900 employees, up from 600 in early 2025, with roughly 100 staffers dedicated to customer success.
- The round reflects investors betting that AI can finally digitize the paper-and-spreadsheet backbone of global manufacturing, a sector that has long resisted software disruption.
