Hark launches Hark Pro, a privacy-first AI assistant that runs your computer

October 6, 2026

Meta shipped a nearly identical assistant at matching prices weeks earlier, showing rivals converging on one blueprint before the first hardware even ships.

  • Hark released Hark Pro to the public on October 6, 2026, a free AI assistant with $20 and $100 monthly tiers that can browse, click and type on a user's behalf to complete tasks like booking flights or paying bills.
  • Hark was founded less than a year ago by Brett Adcock, who previously started eVTOL company Archer Aviation and still runs humanoid robotics firm Figure AI.
  • The agent runs on a cloud system called Handoff that can operate up to six browsers at once and log into millions of sites, storing passwords and card details in an encrypted vault Hark says it cannot see inside.
  • Hark Pro is a preview of a hardware strategy: the company plans AI-native devices for 2027, built for home and work use rather than wearable cameras or pins, with AT&T supplying cellular service.
  • Hark raised $700 million in a Series A two months after leaving stealth, at a reported $6 billion valuation, with Nvidia, AMD Ventures, Intel Capital and Qualcomm Ventures among the backers.
  • The release lands four weeks after Meta launched its own proactive AI agent, Muse, at the identical three-tier pricing structure Hark is now using.
  • Multiple well-funded entrants shipping near-identical proactive assistants at matching prices within weeks of each other signals the AI assistant category is consolidating around one product template before any hardware has proven itself.
