GENISOM AI raises hundreds of millions of yuan, led by UAE's Stone Venture
September 20, 2026
Gulf investors are chasing Chinese robot makers with proven factory deployments rather than lab demos, diversifying oil wealth into automation.
- GENISOM AI, a Chinese embodied-intelligence robotics startup, closed a Series B round worth several hundred million yuan led by UAE-based Stone Venture.
- Founded in December 2023, GENISOM builds quadruped and humanoid robots for power-grid inspection, firefighting, security patrols and emergency response, with a nearly 400-person team, ~70% in R&D.
- Capital will fund the robot hardware platform, its GSD (Genisom Self-Driving) navigation system, and four R&D tracks: motion, spatial, interaction and swarm intelligence.
- GENISOM says it has shipped over 15,000 embodied-intelligence robots by June 2026, with monthly manufacturing capacity up more than 10x year-over-year, and its CHAMP joint-module line now exceeds 1 million units of annual capacity.
- The company plans a 'Gravity' program offering 1,000 robots and over CNY 100 million in combined resources to developers, universities and industry partners.
- Stone Venture, based in Dubai, has previously backed Chinese robotics firms like Galbot, Neolix and Xpeng-affiliated Zhongqing Robotics, part of a wave of Gulf capital — including Saudi Aramco's Prosperity7 — targeting China's embodied-AI sector.
- The round reflects a broader pivot in embodied-AI investing from evaluating demos to scrutinizing actual production volume and deployment data, with GENISOM's 15,000-unit output cited as proof of manufacturing readiness.
