GCash parent Mynt clears PSE hurdle for $1.47B Philippine IPO
September 18, 2026
Valuation
$10.7B
The offering would eclipse the country's largest listing to date and test investor appetite amid thin trading volumes and delistings.
- The Philippine Stock Exchange approved Mynt's application to list up to 8.03 billion shares at up to ₱10 each, clearing the way to raise as much as ₱92.3 billion ($1.47B) with a target listing on Oct. 20 under ticker GCASH.
- Mynt operates GCash, the Philippines' largest mobile wallet, which grew from a 2004 text-based money-transfer service into a superapp offering payments, credit, savings and investments to about 90 million registered users.
- At the ceiling price, the IPO would value Mynt at roughly $10.7 billion (₱668.9 billion market cap), with Globe Telecom holding a 34% stake alongside backers Ant International, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group and Warburg Pincus.
- GCash processed 17 trillion pesos (over $270 billion) in gross transaction value in 2025, averaging 56.7 million transactions a day across its payments network.
- A successful listing would surpass Monde Nissin's $1.0 billion 2021 IPO as the largest ever on the Philippine exchange, which has struggled with thin trading volumes and a wave of delistings.
- Mynt's offer period runs Oct. 6-12 with final pricing set Oct. 1, ahead of the planned Oct. 20 debut on the PSE Main Board.
- A record-sized listing would be a bellwether for Philippine capital markets, testing whether investors will underwrite a mega-cap fintech amid regional volatility and years of local IPO drought.
