Automation Anywhere agrees to acquire Boost.ai from Nordic Capital
October 7, 2026
The deal links customer-facing chat and voice AI directly to back-office execution, not just answers to tickets.
- Automation Anywhere signed a definitive agreement to acquire Norwegian conversational AI firm Boost.ai from private equity owner Nordic Capital, with the deal expected to close in Q4 2026.
- Founded in Norway in 2016, Boost.ai builds voice and chat AI for regulated industries, serving hundreds of customers including Nordea, DNB, Sage and Trading 212 with over 650 implementations.
- Terms were undisclosed; Boost.ai's platform supports 36+ languages, meets GDPR and HIPAA standards, and reaches a 90%+ resolution rate in production deployments.
- Nordic Capital invested in Boost.ai in 2021 through its Evolution fund, backing international expansion beyond the Nordics into Europe and North America.
- This is Automation Anywhere's second AI acquisition in a year, following its purchase of employee-service AI firm Aisera in late 2025.
- The acquisition pushes enterprise AI past single-task copilots toward end-to-end outcomes, stitching customer conversations directly into middle- and back-office automation rather than leaving them as isolated chatbot interactions.
