Boomi acquires Israeli data observability startup Elementary for $43M
October 19, 2026
Deal Value
$43M
The deal is Boomi's third Israeli buy in two years, stitching together movement, access and reliability layers for enterprise AI data.
- Boomi announced on October 19, 2026 that it acquired Israeli startup Elementary Data in a deal valued at roughly $43 million, paid half in cash and half in Boomi stock.
- Elementary builds data observability software, founded by CEO Maayan Salom and CPTO Or Avidov, both veterans of Israel's 8200 intelligence unit, to help teams catch data errors before they hit reports or AI models.
- The platform tracks column-level data lineage and exposes health scores to AI tools via a Model Context Protocol server, letting agents check data trustworthiness before acting on it.
- Elementary's open-source tool draws over 1.1 million downloads a month, is used by more than 1,500 data teams, and has a community of roughly 4,000 members; customers include Fiverr and Patagonia.
- By the end of 2022, Elementary had raised $8.5 million from TLV Partners, Cowboy Ventures, Y Combinator and angel investors; all 17 of its Israel-based employees will join Boomi.
- This is Boomi's third Israeli acquisition in two years, following data-integration provider Rivery for about $100 million in 2024 and AI-gateway startup Lunar.dev in 2026.
- As enterprises let AI agents act autonomously, unreliable underlying data becomes a direct operational risk, pushing platform vendors to acquire governance and observability layers rather than build them.
