A European state-backed fund led the round to keep homegrown tech from raising money abroad, intensifying competition with Microsoft's enterprise tools.
- Pigment raised $250M in a Series E round at a $2.3B valuation, led by the Scaleup Europe Fund managed by EQT, with Nvidia set to invest.
- The Paris-based company builds AI software that lets enterprises plan budgets, sales targets and hiring in one shared model, used by Unilever, Siemens, Snowflake and Danone.
- The new valuation more than doubles the $1B Pigment commanded at its April 2024 Series D, when it raised $145M led by ICONIQ Growth.
- Pigment's annual recurring revenue passed $100M earlier in 2026 after doubling again, and the company says 85% of new metrics on its platform are now created by AI agents rather than people.
- Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced the investment during a visit to France, part of a roughly $10 billion pledge the chipmaker has made to Europe's tech ecosystem this year.
- Most of the new capital will fund engineering hires for Graphite, Pigment's underlying computing engine, and for AI agents that can run entire planning workflows end to end, alongside expansion into Asia.
- The deal shows investors betting that AI-native challengers can unseat entrenched enterprise-planning incumbents like Microsoft, SAP, Oracle and Anaplan, while a sovereign-backed European fund tries to keep fast-growing scale-ups from raising capital abroad.
