Dragos acquires NetRise to secure IoT and software supply chains
September 21, 2026
The deal follows Accenture's majority investment, which armed Dragos with capital to consolidate fragmented OT security tooling.
- Dragos officially acquired NetRise and runZero on September 21, 2026, folding both into its extended operational technology (xOT) security platform following the close of Accenture's majority investment in Dragos.
- NetRise, led by CEO Thomas Pace and CTO/Chief Scientist Michael Scott, specializes in firmware and software supply chain security, surfacing risks like outdated components and hardcoded credentials in connected devices.
- Alongside NetRise, Dragos also acquired asset-visibility firm runZero, whose CEO HD Moore joins with his team to extend IT, OT, and cloud asset discovery across the combined xOT platform.
- NetRise's firmware and software visibility supports compliance documentation for NERC CIP, NIS2, and TSA cybersecurity directives, addressing tightening regulatory demands on critical infrastructure operators.
- The acquisitions follow Dragos's earlier 2026 purchase of device-security firm Phosphorus, and coincide with CEO Robert M. Lee being named Chairman of the Board.
- The consolidation shows critical-infrastructure security vendors racing to unify device, network, cloud, and software supply chain visibility into single platforms as regulatory pressure mounts.
