Enveda raises $311M Series E, doubling valuation to $2B

Raised
$311M
Investors are rewarding clinical proof over platform hype, with three of its AI-designed drug candidates already in human trials.
- Enveda closed a $311 million Series E led by Catalio Capital Management, valuing the AI drug-discovery biotech at $2 billion and doubling its valuation from a year earlier.
- Founded in 2019 by Viswa Colluru, a former early employee of Recursion Pharmaceuticals, Enveda uses its PRISM AI platform to identify medicinal molecules from plants and microbes rather than synthesizing drugs from scratch.
- The capital will push three clinical-stage programs into later trials: ENV-294 for atopic dermatitis, ENV-308 for post-GLP-1 weight maintenance, and ENV-6946 for inflammatory bowel disease.
- The round lifts Enveda's total funding since inception past $845 million, and the company says its PRISM platform has generated 17 development candidates so far.
- The raise follows positive Phase 1 results this year for ENV-294, a molecular-glue eczema pill, and ENV-308, which mimics an exercise-induced hormone to help preserve weight loss after stopping GLP-1 drugs.
- No AI-discovered drug has yet won FDA approval, so investors funneling nine-figure rounds into Enveda signal a bet that clinical validation, not platform promises, will separate the winners in AI biotech.
